Hurricane Humberto and Tropical Storm Imelda – Advisory #3 (FINAL)
With this notification, Colonial Terminals will cease advisories for Tropical Storm Imelda and Hurricane Humberto. The current forecast for both shows continued easterly movement away from the Southeast coastline. We will continue to monitor conditions, but do not anticipate any impacts on either Savannah or Wilmington terminal operations. If this status changes, you will be notified under this same format. Otherwise, this is the last notification for this weather event.

As part of our normal seasonal precautions, Colonial Terminals will maintain vigilance to ensure we are ready. It is important to note that we are not experiencing any impacts to vessel, rail, or truck operations at this time. Should this change, you will be informed through these advisories that will be issued regularly until the threat passes.

Hurricane Humberto and Tropical Depression Nine – Advisory #2

Colonial Terminals has begun storm preparations in both our Savannah and Wilmington terminals which will ensure we are ready should conditions change. It is important to note that we are not experiencing any impacts to vessel, rail, or truck operations at this time. Be advised, even if port conditions remain unchanged, pilots may suspend service if hazardous conditions are present. Should any changes occur, you will be informed through these advisories.

Future Hurricane Humberto and Invest 94-L Disturbance – Advisory #1
With this notification, Colonial Terminals is advising that we are continuing to monitor conditions due to the development of Invest 94-L and Future Hurricane Humberto. The current forecast from the National Hurricane Center is below, but still largely uncertain. We are closely monitoring conditions but do not anticipate modifying our operations at this time. If this status changes, you will be notified promptly under this same format.

No current impact, however, during the 11:00AM ET Hazardous Weather Advisory Group (HWAG) call, the U.S. Coast Guard advised changing to Port Condition Whiskey for the Port of Savannah at noon today. This requires all vessels to declare their hurricane contingency plans for USCG approval. The port remains open to all commercial traffic, but oceangoing ships andbarges must report their intention to remain in port or depart. If they are departing, they must do so within 12 hours of gale-force winds.

Colonial Terminals – Weather Advisory
Please be advised that the National Hurricane Center is tracking two disturbances in the Caribbean and Atlantic with high percentage changes of developing into a depression late this week and into the weekend. As of now, there are no tropical weather warnings and/or watches.
We are closely tracking any potential impacts to our terminals in Savannah, Georgia and Wilmington, North Carolina, and will continue to do so in the coming days. Currently, all operations remain normal.
